Why 2 cm is the right choice
It can be tempting to think thicker is always better. But when it comes to your baby's motor skills, balance is more important than maximum softness.
A surface that is too thick and very soft can make hands and knees sink in, causing your baby to lose stability and the resistance they need to work against. Motor development requires the body to feel the surface and push off effectively.
The 2 cm high-density memory foam is therefore a deliberate choice:
- Enough cushioning to protect against hard floors
- Firm enough resistance to activate the muscles correctly
- Stable support for rolling, creeping and crawling
- No "sofa effect", where the body sinks too far down
This provides an optimal balance between comfort and function.
Safe for the smallest babies
The mat is OEKO-TEX® 100 certified and made without BPA, phthalates, formamide and PAHs. It is odourless and safe to use from birth.
It is also suitable for underfloor heating, so it works all year round – even on cold floors.

Small accidents are part of life. The mat can easily be vacuumed or wiped with a damp cloth and mild soap. It can be hand-washed at 30°C and keeps its shape over time thanks to the high foam quality.
