Lid for La Bassine birth pool

It's a good idea to fill the tub as soon as labor begins. However, you may encounter a problem: limited water in the hot water tank. The water in the birthing pool should ideally not get cold while you wait for hot water. With this lid, you can keep the water in the tub nice and warm while you gradually fill it for the birth. 

Since the sides and bottom of the tub are filled with air, most of the heat loss occurs through the surface. The heavy-duty vinyl lid fits perfectly on your tub and retains the heat, so the tub is ready when the birthing person wants to get in.

If you choose to keep your birthing pool inflated without water, the lid is also a good idea to prevent the tub from collecting dust.

The lid can (unlike the liners) be used multiple times, as long as it is cleaned.
