When you need to work with your contractions, it can be a great help to apply heat to your lower back or belly. The warmth has both a pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing effect and can make labour more comfortable.
Breastfeeding: The cushion is also really useful after birth, as your body often becomes sore from breastfeeding or carrying your baby. If you struggle with mastitis, the cushion is perfect to use as a cooling compress (place it in the freezer before use).
Natural scent and relaxing effect
The cushion is filled with wheat from Empordà, lavender from Provence and chamomile flowers, which release a calming fragrance during use.
Heat and cold therapy
Heat therapy: Warm the cushion in the microwave – start gently with a few seconds until you find a comfortable temperature. Max. 2 minutes. The heat is ideal for muscle and lower back pain, neck stiffness, menstrual cramps and for easing soreness during labour.
Cold therapy: Place the cushion in the freezer for at least 1 hour so it can be used to reduce swelling, relieve headaches, help with mastitis or provide a pleasant cooling sensation when your body needs it.
Note: If you receive an epidural, it is not recommended to use a heating pad for pain relief.
