Product description
Heat can make a huge difference when your body tenses up.
Many pregnant women find that warmth on the lower back feels incredibly soothing – both during Braxton Hicks contractions, period-like cramping towards the end of pregnancy, and in early labour.
These self-heating patches are designed to provide long-lasting, steady warmth for up to 8 hours without the need for electricity, a microwave, or hot water. You simply open the packet, and the patch automatically starts generating heat when it comes into contact with air.
This makes them perfect to have ready in your hospital bag, on the sofa during Braxton Hicks, or to take with you on the go whenever your body needs warmth and relaxation.
Why so many love warmth during contractions
When the body is warmed, blood circulation in the area increases and the muscles can relax more easily. Many therefore find that heat helps to:
- relieve tension in the lower back
- create calm between contractions
- reduce feelings of soreness and heaviness
- promote comfort and a sense of safety
- help the body relax more during labour
The lower back is a particular area where many instinctively seek warmth during contractions. Here, the patch can be a simple and practical solution, as it stays in place and provides constant warmth without you having to hold a heat pack against your body.
Easy to use – even during labour
The patches are very simple to use:
- Open the sachet just before use
- The patch is activated automatically when it comes into contact with air
- Remove the protective film on the back
- Apply the patch to clean, dry skin on the desired area
- After a few minutes, the patch will start to warm up
- The patch provides warmth for up to 8 hours
When you are finished using it, simply remove it gently from the skin.
Practical in your hospital bag
A heat patch takes up almost no space, but can feel worth its weight in gold when your contractions intensify.
It is especially handy because it:
- does not require electricity or charging
- does not need to be preheated
- can be worn discreetly under clothing
- is easy to take anywhere
- provides steady warmth for many hours
Many otherwise use heat packs, rice bags, or hot water bottles during labour, but they need to be reheated again and again. Heat patches are a much easier and more flexible solution.
Also great for period pain
The patches were originally developed for menstrual pain and can also be used for:
- menstrual cramps
- tension in the lower back
- pelvic soreness
- muscle tension
The deep, constant warmth can feel calming and relieving on days when your body needs a little extra care.
Important information and safe use
